Move toward regulation
The Toolbox
In the app: Toolbox
The Toolbox (your practices) is a small library of regulating things to do — breathing, movement, grounding, meditation — browsable by the state you want to leave. Mobilized and want to come down? Shut down and want a tiny way back in? The toolbox sorts by that.
Why it’s here. In a dysregulated moment you don’t want to decide what might help; you want a short list of things that already have. Practices that have genuinely worked for you before are highlighted, from a quiet personal evidence base built out of your own past logs.
The psychology. This is a regulation repertoire — a known set of down-shifting and re-engaging moves — paired with single-subject evidence: what actually helps you, not what helps in general. Over time the toolbox learns your nervous system.
A contemplative thread. Breath practices, body scans, and walking meditation come almost directly from contemplative traditions. The toolbox is where those time-tested upāya (skillful methods) live, offered for the state you’re in.
