Terms of Service

These Terms are an agreement between you and Gentleward, an independently operated United States service. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. You must be at least 18 and located in the United States.

The service

Gentleward provides self-reflection, organization, focus, wellness, connection, API, and related tools. It is not medical care, diagnosis, treatment, crisis support, or a substitute for a qualified professional. The Wellness Disclaimer is part of these Terms.

Your account and content

You are responsible for accurate account information, safeguarding devices and passkeys, activity under your account, and promptly reporting suspected compromise. You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant Gentleward a limited, nonexclusive license to host, process, display, transmit, back up, and otherwise use that content only to operate, secure, and improve the requested service.

Connection features disclose information according to the visibility and sharing actions you select. Do not submit another person’s sensitive information unless you have the right to do so.

Paid plans

Prices, billing interval, and included features are shown before checkout. Stripe processes payment. Subscriptions renew until canceled through the plan-management portal. Cancellation stops future renewal and generally leaves paid access through the current billing period; fees already charged are nonrefundable except where required by law or expressly stated at purchase. Taxes may apply.

Acceptable use

You must follow the Acceptable Use Policy. We may limit or suspend access reasonably necessary to protect users, the service, or others; investigate misuse; comply with law; or address nonpayment. We will give notice when practical.

Availability and changes

The service may change, experience downtime, or discontinue a feature. We will use reasonable care but do not promise uninterrupted, error-free, or permanent availability. Keep independent copies of content important to you; account export is available in Settings.

Disclaimers and liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or noninfringement. Gentleward is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or lost data, profits, or opportunities. Gentleward’s aggregate liability arising from the service will not exceed the greater of $100 or the amount you paid Gentleward in the preceding 12 months. These limits do not apply where prohibited by law.

Ending the agreement

You may stop using Gentleward and delete your account at any time. Provisions that by nature should survive—including ownership, payment obligations, disclaimers, liability limits, and dispute terms—continue after termination.

Disputes and general terms

Before filing a claim, email hello@gentleward.com and allow 30 days for an informal resolution. Applicable United States law and the law of the operator’s principal place of business govern without regard to conflicts rules, subject to mandatory consumer law. These Terms are the complete agreement for the service and may be updated with reasonable notice. Material updates require renewed agreement before ordinary continued use; account export, deletion, and sign-out remain available. If one provision is unenforceable, the rest remains effective. You may not transfer these Terms without consent; Gentleward may transfer them as part of a reorganization or sale.
