The home screen
In the app: Home
Home is state-responsive: it reads your latest check-in and adapts both what it shows and how it speaks. The same app meets you differently depending on where you are.
- Shutdown → minimal UI, one tiny action, warm copy; the full task list is hidden, because it would only overwhelm.
- Mobilized → a discharge practice offered first, then a single next task.
- Flow → it gets out of the way, and offers to protect this.
- Safe & Social → full planning surfaces open up.
- Stillness → quiet mode: no productivity nudges, just a reflective prompt.
Why it’s here. Most apps show everyone the same dashboard and assume you can muster the same energy every day. An AuDHD nervous system can’t, and shouldn’t have to. Home adjusts the demand to your capacity instead of asking your capacity to meet a fixed demand.
The psychology. This is the environment doing co-regulation: reducing load in shutdown, channeling activation in mobilization, guarding a good state in flow. The setting itself becomes a cue toward safety.
A contemplative thread. Skillful means — meeting a person where they actually are, not where a plan wishes they were.
