Notes & journal

In the app: Notes

Notes (the journal) are for anything you want to keep in words. Bodies are Markdown, written in a calm editor with a live preview and rendered as safe, readable HTML. A note can be pinned, edited, archived (set aside without losing it), or deleted. Notes live in a garden or in Loose Leaves, right alongside the tasks they relate to.

Why it’s here. Sometimes a thought isn’t a task or a feeling to log — it’s just something to write down. Notes are the open, unstructured space for that, kept deliberately plain so capture stays effortless.

A note on the daily look-back. Reflective, day-bound writing — a few words for today, what you’re grateful for — lives in Reflections, not here, so the day’s record stays in one place. Notes are for the freeform rest.

A contemplative thread. Writing plainly, without performing, is a way of seeing clearly — letting the mind set down what it’s carrying so it can be looked at rather than spun.
