Tasks

Tasks are built for instant capture: a title and Enter is all it takes, and it lands in Loose Leaves by default. Underneath sits a quiet, optional toolbar — a garden, a due date, a reminder, an ideal focus state, importance — so a task can be as detailed as you want without leaving the one box.

The list can be read through the lens of your current state — what can I actually do right now? — and any task can be parked: a first-class, neutral status, not a failure to finish.

Why it’s here. Capture has to be frictionless or it won’t happen; a single box that never punishes you for adding detail (or not) respects how fast an ADHD thought arrives and how easily it’s lost. Parking gives you a guilt-free place to put what isn’t for today.

A contemplative thread. Non-attachment to outcome: a parked task isn’t a broken promise, just something set down for now. You can pick it up later, or not. Holding plans lightly is its own kind of ease.
