Look back & let go

Reflections

In the app: Reflect

Reflect is the daily look-back. Today sits at the top with an inline note — a few words for the day — that saves itself as you write. Below it, each earlier day is a calm summary card (its check-ins, focus, and habits at a glance) that opens the full day. A day view also holds the day’s habits (you can tick them, even after the fact) and a Grateful for list — one small thing at a time.

Why it’s here. Looking back closes the loop on a day without grading it. The summary is observational, never a scorecard, and “no words for this day” is a perfectly fine entry. The gratitude line is a deliberately tiny ask: one thing, however small.

The psychology. Brief structured reflection consolidates experience and builds self-knowledge over time. Naming a single gratitude reliably nudges attention away from threat — a small, repeatable shift toward ventral safety.

A contemplative thread. This is a lay echo of the evening review found across contemplative traditions — not to tally sins, but to meet the day with gratitude and equanimity before letting it go.
